From Cindy's Texas roots to Nashville's music row, Cindy Haynes has covered about
every phase in the music business from publishing, songwriting, singing professionally, production and management.
After spending 25 years in the music business in Nashville, Tennessee, Cindy branches out to educate and help others
get into the music industry.
In 1979, Cindy moved to Nashville. Having been a music major in college, she started
singing demos for a record label and then she sang as a sessions singer in the studios of Nashville. Cindy has
worked in many phases of the music business including recording, writing, singing, publishing, productions and
management, Prior to entering the music industry, Cindy had been a chief judge with the Miss Texas Pageant and
had produced beauty pageants in Texas. Cindy has been to three different modeling schools and has also taught modeling
in Nashville as well as modeled. She has had her own voice and modeling studio, but she now focuses on voice only.
She coaches professionals, semi-professionals and teaches voice to beginners. As a free-lance make-up artist, Cindy
still works with people needing make up for photography sessions. Cindy had the privilege of being one of the four
people to sing on one of Bill Monroe's last albums. That was a "first" in the career of Bill Monroe to
use anyone else to sing background vocals except the guys in his band. Cindy has graced the stage with Mark Chesnutt
as well as "Country Bumpkin" himself, Cal Smith. She was featured soloist in his band. Cindy has also
sung background on concert flutist, James Galways' album when he performed a country album. Cindy has been accepted
on two different gospel labels in her career. She has as gospel CD which she wrote four of the songs. Cindy works
closely with the North American Country Music Association International in the Hall of Fame portion. She is a recipient
of the 2004 and 2005 Appreciation Award for her participation with the organization. In 2003, Cindy was host for
a music show with Gospel Music Television called the "Music Shoppe' on the Angel Network.
Cindy shares a music production and management business with her husband, Walter
Haynes, a former vice president of MCA Records in Nashville. She is a full time voice instructor trying to help
get ready a "new crop" for Nashville to hear. As a vocal instructor, Cindy is helping other singers unlock
their potential for a music career. She is incorporating all her knowledge and years in music to prepare the way
for singers wanting that once in a lifetime chance".
